(#1236) Using Generative AI for “Translation Adjacent” Tasks (Simposio)
Docente: Arle Lommel
Temática: Tecnología aplicada: Traducción automática / IA
Idioma/s: Inglés
Generative AI (GenAI) in the form of Large Language Models (LLMs) is increasingly common in translation workflows, but CSA Research argues that the best use cases for GenAI in the language sector are for tasks that are related to and assist translation, such as terminology extraction and research, adaptation of texts and transcreation, and other textual operations (such as anonymization, summarization, and information extraction). In this workshop, Dr. Arle Lommel will guide participants through a series of exercises to help them gain confidence in using GenAI to help them in their daily work. Participants are requested to bring short (~500 word) examples of non-confidential translation work they have done that they can use in exercises using public versions of ChatGPT and Gemini. This workshop will be taught in English.
Fecha y horario: lunes 1 de diciembre, de 18.30 a 21.30.
